No-Gi Jiu Jitsu Classes in Whitehorse

No-Gi Jiu Jitsu is a fast-paced, dynamic grappling style similar to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), but without the traditional gi (kimono). Students typically train in shorts and a rash guard, which changes the pace and grips of the game.

Because of fewer grip-based techniques, no-gi jiu jitsu tends to be quicker and emphasizes control, positioning, and submissions that can be used in competition or self-defense.

Our Monday morning No-Gi class focuses on takedowns, to help elevate your stand-up game, improving throws and takedowns to complement your jiu jitsu training. Learn how to start on your feet, and take the fight to the ground.

Tuesday Night Fundamentals Class

Our Tuesday night No-Gi class focuses on jiu jitsu fundamentals. This is a perfect entry point for beginners learning the foundational positions and submissions. It’s also a valuable class for experienced students who want to sharpen their core skills and revisit essential techniques.
