BOBBY WOODMAN

Professor Bobby was introduced to Jiu Jitsu while watching the early years of the UFC. He started training Can-Ryu Jiu Jitsu, and hasn’t stopped learning since. Born in Saskatchewan and raised in the Yukon, Bobby has spent years training in Muay Thai, MMA, BJJ, and No-Gi Jiu Jitsu. Bobby achieved his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt under the guidance of Professor Shawn Albrecht at our affiliated school, Ascension Martial Arts in BC. In 2023, his dedication and expertise were recognized when he received the prestigious 2023 Coach of the Year Award from Sport Yukon. Passionate about both practicing and teaching martial arts, Bobby can often be found on the mats, living the ethos of training "eight days a week."
